HAZWOPER - (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response)

The OSHA HAZWOPER Hour Courses meet OSHA requirements for training of personnel engaged in hazardous waste operations as outlined in 29 CFR 1910.120, including removal or handling of underground tanks and/or piping, contaminated soil and/or groundwater, subsurface investigations, construction work in which hazardous materials may potentially be present, encountered, prepared, packaged, labeled, marked, stored, shipped for disposal, or any facility wherein hazardous wastes are treated, stored, or disposed.

This training course will consist of lectures, demonstrations, practice sessions and hands-on exercises to provide the attendees with an opportunity to practice the techniques and skills learned; and handle and use the equipment described and demonstrated in the classroom.

40-HOUR HAZWOPER

Hazardous Material Worker
The OSHA HAZWOPER 40-Hour Course meets OSHA requirements for training of personnel engaged in hazardous waste operations as outlined in 29 CFR 1910.120, including removal or handling of underground tanks and/or piping, contaminated soil and/or groundwater, subsurface investigations, construction work in which hazardous materials may potentially be present, encountered, prepared, packaged, labeled, marked, stored, shipped for disposal, or any facility wherein hazardous wastes are treated, stored, or disposed.

This training course will consist of lectures, demonstrations, practice sessions and hands-on exercises to provide the attendees with an opportunity to practice the techniques and skills learned; and handle and use the equipment described and demonstrated in the classroom.

24-HOUR HAZWOPER

This 24-hour course will address health and safety issues relative to occasional site workers and visitors having no potential for exposure to site hazards above an established exposure limit.

This training course will consist of lectures, demonstrations, practice sessions and hands-on exercises to provide the attendees with an opportunity to practice the techniques and skills learned; and handle and use the equipment described and demonstrated in the classroom.

8-HOUR SITE SUPERVISOR / MANAGER'S COURSE

This 8-hour course will address requirements deemed specific to supervisors and managers having responsibilities for hazardous waste site operations and management. Course will consist of lectures, demonstrations, practice sessions and group exercises in (PPE selection, risk assessment, chemical compatibility and waste manifesting techniques).

This training course will consist of lectures, demonstrations, practice sessions and hands-on exercises to provide the attendees with an opportunity to practice the techniques and skills learned; and handle and use the equipment described and demonstrated in the classroom.

8-HOUR REFRESHER COURSE

This 8-hour refresher will review important materials deemed relevant by the standard. Course will consist of lectures, demonstrations, practice sessions and group exercises to utilize the skills and equipment described in the classroom.
